Country Club Fun

On the Saturday of Easter weekend we were invited by some new friends of ours to be their guests at the Country Club Easter Festival.....I say festival instead of just egg hunt because there was face painting, games, inflatables, a magician, food, and of course the man in a suit himself along with a hunt!! The kids had a blast and somewhere along the way Brad and I turned into super bad parents because we allowed our kids to get blistered....bad!!! Poor McCain's face and ears were so red by the time we left that it hurt just to look at him!! He has since recovered but I on the other had have not forgiven myself!!!

Back to the "hunt". The hunt itself was quite....weird!!! Instead of having the kids run around gathering eggs, they assigned each child a number and the kids had to find only the 8 eggs that had their particular number written on it!!! Sounds easy enough....right?? Well, there had to have easily been 800 eggs out in this "yard", and then add 100 kids....mainly toddlers who don't quite understand the instructions!!! It made for a very memorable hunt to say the least. McCain finally figured that all he had to do was step on the little plastic eggs, break them apart, and steal some other poor souls candy!!! Yep....that's my boy....aren't we all so proud!!!
