Today is mom's last radiation treatment!!! YEAH!!!! She has now been through 2 surgeries, chemo, and radiation!!!! She will continue to have frequent doctors appointments for monitoring and she will be on a daily chemo oral medication for 5 years.....but for now the "hard" part is over!!! The radiation has gone as expected...tiredness, tenderness, burning....bla bla bla. But as of this afternoon she can file this experience under "Been There Done That!"
Mom, you've done great and have been an inspiration to us all and an example of how to keep your spirits high. We love you very much and are so happy that you have completed your treatment!!
