UPDATE--WARNING--LONG POST with PICTURES!!!

wow, where has the time gone?!?! so much has been going on since my last post!! many fun days with a few lazy ones in between. And by few...I mean few....we have surely been constantly moving!!! I'll do my best to get all three of you who read my blog up to date!!!

APRIL

In April we took a day trip to the Memphis Zoo...always fun for the little ones...but this time pretty exciting for the adults too!!! We actually witnessed nature in the making....now, not the pretty kind like the birth of some exotic animal, but the more disturbing kind like "survival of the fittest"! We happened upon the tiger exhibit just as three tigers decided to play with the poor helpless ducks that choose to land for a swim in their cool pool....the little things had no chance!!! The keeper did insist that the tigers were in deed just playing since they have grown up in captivity and eat hand delivered food, that they were just having a little pre-summer fun of their own...of course at the expense of their poor little feathered friends!!!

a trip to the zoo wouldn't be complete without face painting!!!

Cody's arm

i actually couldn't believe McCain let her paint his face...usually it is his arm too!

Cassidy and her beautiful butterfly

Mallory decided on the white Bengal tiger after all the fun she observed earlier in the day!

One hot day in April we spent working in the flower beds....this was McCain's day as official "helper"!! His little gator came in handy since at this point we didn't have a wheelbarrow. Now though, Brad had to go purchase one because McCain would rather his truck be clean!! He must get that from his momma!!

another fun weekend at a local festival

we love our body paints!!

After a solid day of sitting in our pj's watching movies, being the good mother that I am, I decided there would be "no more TV!" ....(just for the rest of the day of course...i may be a good mom but I'm not crazy!!) so, my little brainy kids decided they would re-in act one of their favorite movies...The Incredibles. Mallory made these creations on her on...pretty good I might add!!! if you aren't familiar with the movie...you need to see it...it is cute!!

MAY

ahhhh May....so far this has been my favorite month this year!!! Brad and I took a second honeymoon to Jamaica....wow...is all I can say!! It was such a needed trip for both of us!!! We stayed with the same company that we did on our actual honeymoon 8 long years ago...Couples....but at a different resort. It was so wonderful...they catered to our every need!! I can't wait to return...hopefully this time we won't have to wait 8 years!!! I would highly recommend them to everyone!! www.couples.com

during may is also Tupelo's annual gum tree festival...there is a morning race which brad always takes part in (this year it poured down rain!) and then a festival for the kids and a crafts show for mommy...a good weekend for the whole family!!

daddy running in the rain

Meeting him at the finish line!

Mallory's first time to try rock climbing!

The following pictures are of McCain trying to decide if he wants to be a "lawn boy"! How cute is he!! I'm so glad I had the camera handy for these shots...i see future blackmail!!

JUNE

During June we took a weekend trip to one of Brad's partners lake house...the kids always enjoy doing this. This time we invited Brad's sister and brother-in-law to join us. we had a blast. Mallory basically stays on the jet ski or in the water the entire time (that's why I didn't get many pictures of her)...McCain on the other had would rather stay on the dock with me.

Oh, speaking of one of Brad's "partners"....June was the month Brad officially became a PARTNER in the practice!!! Congratulations babe....we knew it would eventually get here but it sure did seem like forever!!!! And for himself he bought a new toy!! yes, the kids and i use it more to cruise the neighborhood or drive to the pool....but we are fooling no one, it is definitely HIS toy!!

June nights are always good time for frogs....

and lazy mornings with the pets

Boo and Pixie

Penny

and fun afternoons at Poppy's work

check out that pose!

so to summarize....a lot of fun!!! July is already here and school starts in only 4 short weeks...there is soooo much more to cram into this summer!!!!

let me know by commenting who made it to the end....you are either really bored or really interested in our lives!!! hehehe

I wish for a second honeymoon, but we are only on year 5 so I guess we have three more years to wait until it's our turn!
