1st Day of 1st Grade!!!

Say it isn't so!!!

My tiny little bitty baby girl is now old enough to go to 1st grade!!! It honestly doesn't seem like a year since I walked out of her kindergarten class on the first day all teary-eyed!!

Open House was earlier this week to give the kids a chance to get accustomed to their "new" school....many of the students (including us) were transferred to different schools due to the new zoning locations.....so we really spent alot of that time actually 'touring' the school to figure out were everything was. We also got to meat her sweet teacher, Mrs. Word.

Today, being that it was the first day, mommy made sure to have everyone up, feed, dressed and ready on time!!! Did anyone buy that??? We were up, daddy had us feed with his famous pancakes, and we did manage to get dressed, but we were definitely NOT on time.....good thing it was the first day and they expected tardiness from the nubbies...I wonder how long I can get by with that excuse!!

Mallory went straight to her class and found her spot and began her work. I had to literally FORCE her to take pictures as she was shooing me out the classroom door....I guess I'm already such an un-cool mom!!!! Oh my gosh, like-- get away, you are ruining my reputation!!!! I was hoping it would be many years before the "mommy-love" wore off.....but again I am wrong!! I bet next time she wants a Webkinz that love will magically re-appear!!

Mallory, I hope you have a wonderful 1st day of 1st grade....and please, please, please don't come home from school today like mommy did on her 1st day of 1st grade...with a broken arm!!!!!!!! fun times!!!!!!!!! We love you

Can you believe summer is over? First day of school, and hopefully no broken bones! The next 16 years will fly by with all the cheerleading, ball playing, boys, school work, recess, boys, prom, dances, and did I say boys?? We love you.
