last dog update for the night

Penny has gotten up, walked, pooped, eaten and is now back asleep....ahhhh the life of a dog!!! She is still in ICU until tomorrow barring no complications over night. At this point they are mainly just concerned with the operation site swelling too much that would interfere with her breathing, so they are keeping a close eye on that. Every 4 hours they are icing it down, walking her, and giving her pain meds. We are so thankful that there are students willing to spend their nights "doggie-sitting" our "babies"!!
